JR Motorsports driver Sam Mayer prevailed in a wild, double overtime, finish to score his first NASCAR Xfinity Series®
victory at Road America.
Mayer, a Wisconsin native, took the victory on the 4.048-mile road course in his home state by capitalizing on some chaotic final laps as the lead pack battled for Victory Lane. While the front-runners swapped paint and some went off course in the closing laps, it was Mayer who steered his No. 1 Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions Chevrolet Camaro through it all to earn a home track victory.
